FAQ
How are your paintings made?
Each painting is created using thick acrylic paint that I sculpt and pipe much like frosting. I build every petal and leaf by hand, layer by layer, creating a highly dimensional surface full of texture and depth. Because each element is shaped individually, no two paintings are ever exactly alike.
When will my painting ship?
If a piece is already completed and listed on my website, it is typically ready to ship within 5–10 business days, unless otherwise noted.
Once your order ships, you’ll receive an email with tracking information.
Do your paintings arrive ready to hang?
Yes. Each painting arrives with hanging hardware already installed, so it can be displayed immediately.
How are paintings packaged for shipping?
Each painting is carefully wrapped, secured, and boxed to protect the sculpted paint surface during transit. I ship using insured carriers to ensure your artwork arrives safely.
Because the paint is highly dimensional, there is a very small chance that a petal or leaf may arrive slightly compressed during shipping. This is uncommon and typically minor, and it does not detract from the overall appearance of the piece.
Do you offer international shipping?
Yes — international shipping is available.
At this time, international orders are handled outside of the website. If you live outside the United States and would like to purchase a painting, please email me to arrange shipping and payment details.
Additional shipping costs, customs duties, or import taxes may apply depending on your location.
Can I pick up my painting locally?
Yes! If you are located near Lancaster, Pennsylvania, local pickup can be arranged. Simply mention this when placing your order or contact me directly.
If you choose local pickup, you will receive a small reimbursement since shipping is not required.
Do you take custom commissions?
Yes — custom work is the heart of what I do.
I create commissioned paintings for wedding bouquets, florals, pets, homes, abstract pieces, and other meaningful subjects.
See my commissions page for more information
Do you work from reference photos for bouquet commissions?
Yes! You can send photos of your bouquet — even if the event was years ago — and I will recreate it as faithfully as possible. Many clients also choose to add a slightly dreamy or artistic interpretation while still honoring the original flowers.
How should I care for my painting?
These paintings are designed to last and require very little maintenance.
Dusting
Use a soft paintbrush to gently remove dust from the sculpted areas, or use compressed air for harder-to-reach spots.
Cleaning
Acrylic paint is durable and water-resistant. If necessary, the surface can be gently wiped with a slightly damp cloth.
Are the paintings sealed?
The paint used in my work is museum-quality and lightfast, meaning it will not fade under normal indoor conditions. Because of this, sealing is not necessary, but fixatives are sometimes used for aesthetic purposes
As with any artwork, it’s best to avoid prolonged heat and direct sunlight.
Can the painting hang in a bathroom or sunny room?
Yes — bathrooms and bright rooms are generally fine. However, it’s best to avoid prolonged humidity or harsh direct sunlight.
Very high heat or strong sun can temporarily soften acrylic paint. While the paint will re-harden as it cools, these conditions should be avoided whenever possible.
Can the painting be transported again if I move?
Yes. The artwork can be safely moved again if needed. If you plan to move or relocate the piece, I recommend packaging it carefully with protective padding around the surface to protect the sculpted paint elements.
If you ever have questions about repacking your painting, feel free to reach out and I’m happy to help.
